the best llink so far! llink-2.1.0 for the dns323
UPDATE (10/25/2008): version 2.2.0 is here.
UPDATE (8/8/2008): Due to a regression with handling .vob files in the VIDEO_TS folder, I have packaged 2.1.1 (build 1000 – current testing version) – try that if you have issues with 2.1.0
(You can read my original review here)
I’ve only done basic testing, but from what I have seen, this llink version rocks! The UI is much snappier and there is a new theme that looks like the default popcorn hour’s theme! Nice! I tested only a couple of .avi and .mkv files which worked great. I’m not sure if anything else broke… If anyone has any issues let me know.
Grab these files (the only one that has been updated has been llink, but the others are posted for convenience).
- llink-2.1.0-1.ffp0.5.tgz (new)
- llink-2.1.1-3.ffp0.5.tgz (build 1000) [optional]
- libdvdcss-1.2.9-1-ffp0.5.tgz
- libdvdread-0.9.7-1-ffp0.5.tgz
NOTE: If you made changes to your llink.conf file, be sure to back them up! Those changes will need to be merged into the new llink.conf file.
Enjoy!
P.S. It would be sweet if any of you click on the non-annoying google ad
That is, if you’re not already using adblock plus. And if you aren’t using it, perhaps it’s time to upgrade your browser!
Hi
Thanks you, will test. Please check the URL for the files, they are faulty
damn, that was lame… sorry… the links are fixed now!
Hi,
tanks for the llink build!
I have some problems to get correct letters in the name of my files. Is it possible for me to change llink to use UTF-8 (unicode)? I’m using llink-2.1.1 and also tried 2.1.0
Thanks. I will try that out.
@Martin, hmm… I have no clue. You would have much better luck if you asked lundman directly. Check out this thread regarding the 2.1.0 release:
http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showthread.php?tid=6586
I installed the 2.1.0 package and unable to play vob files. Tried to install 2.1.1 package and got this error message: “Skipping llink-2.1.1.3-3.ffp05.tgz (installled: llink-2.1.0-1.ffp05.tgz”. I tried to rename the llink directory under /ffp/etc and got the same message when I tried to install the 2.1..1 package. The command I use to install is “funpkg -i package_name”. How can I install the 2.1.1.3 package? Thanks.
@Tony,
….
/ # funpkg -h
…
Upgrade: funpkg -u
good luck!
Thanks for the great work. I got it working with v2.1.1. (build 1000). The option I used to install is funpkg -u. I guess it is just a type error on your part. I have to read on how to change the theme. Right now, I have not seen any difference between this version and v2.0.8.
@Tony,
haha… I was trying to show the help for funpkg (hence funpkg -h)… I guess it would have made more sense to just say “use -u instead of -i”
re: theme. Are you saying that the theme didn’t change for you? The theme is selected in the /ffp/etc/llink/llink.conf file and if you are using the one I provided, it *should* have been switched to the ‘nmt’ theme…. So… make sure you restart llink – ‘/ffp/start/llink.sh restart’
Sorry, you have it right. The u reads as a v on the screen.
No, I did not use the llink.conf that came with the package. I will put the changes I did in the llink.conf and then try it again. I am sure I will then see the new theme. Thanks.
I got the new skin working. However, I did a problem with the new code. Now it breaks apart the iso file istead of playing it like before if my memory serves me right. Can you have a look as to why this is happening? Thanks.
Hi!
Thanks for the build
Will you also be creating funplug packages for 2.1.2 and future releases?
Hello.
Can anyone telle me, in detail due to incompetence in LINUX, how to install this on my DNS-323??
